The original variation of LEGO Darth Vader appeared in eleven sets. This version has an all-black body with a control panel design on the torso. The head has battle scars, and he wears a black cape and helmet. The original LEGO Darth Vader minifigure comes with a red lightsaber. The Darth Vader minifigure that was included with the 6211 Imperial Star Destroyer, 7251 Darth Vader Transformation, and 7264 Imperial Inspection had a new head with no eyebrows and some extra scars. The 2008 redesign of the LEGO Darth Vader minifigure has a more detailed torso and a new style of head. This version was included in the 8017 Darth Vader's TIE Fighter set and the 10188 Death Star set. The 2010 version has pupils in its eyes. This version was included in the 10212 Imperial Shuttle set. The battle damaged Darth Vader minifigure appears in the 7672 Rogue Shadow set. This version has one gray arm and leg and a shattered mask. There was also a chrome LEGO Darth Vader minifigure that was included in random LEGO Star Wars sets in 2009. Ten thousand of these Darth Vader toys were made. The chrome version was the same as the 2008 version except that it was painted silver instead of black.

In addition to his appearances in LEGO Star Wars sets, the Darth Vader minifigure has also been featured in pen, key chain, and magnet sets. The LEGO Emperor Palpatine minifigure had a yellow face in 3340 Star Wars, 7166 Imperial Shuttle, and 7200 Final Duel I. In the 7264 Imperial Inspection set, Palpatine had a gray face and gray hands. The LEGO Emperor Palpatine minifigure was completely redesigned in 2008. This figure had a more detailed robe and redesigned image on the body. He had big yellow eyes and larger wrinkles. This variation came with a black cape and hood. This is the variation that was included in the 8096 Emperor Palpatine's Shuttle set. The Clone Wars variation has a flesh-colored face with blue eyes and red arms and legs. He has blonde hair and wears Senatorial robes. The hologram version of Emperor Palpatine was included in the 6211 Imperial Star Destroyer set.

This large scale LEGO model of the elegant Star Wars vehicle has been designed authentically, with several true to the movie details and features. As seen in Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi, this commonly used Imperial transport is not your average space shuttle. With two rotating wing laser cannons, this Imperial shuttle is heavily armed enough to transport troops and even the highest ranking Imperial leaders.

For the 10th year celebration of LEGO Star Wars, LEGO 8017 - Darth Vader’s personal TIE Fighter has been released. When constructed, this dark grey TIE fighter with red lasers on the front is an amazingly close replica of the Seth Lord’s personal fighter shown in the final battle of Episode IV: A New Hope. With an opening cockpit canopy, it is easy to place the included mini figure of LEGO Darth Vader (with cloak off) at the controls of his personal fighter.

Our favorite Sith Lord, Darth Vader has a new advanced model of the TIE fighter rather than the standard model. X-wing starfighters should prove no match to this tweeked out fighter of the dark lord’s. This vessel is customized with bent wings, a deflector shield, a hyperdrive and special flick firing missles. LEGO Darth Vader Transformation 7251

The Darth Vader Transformation 7251  LEGO Set is part of  Episode III: Revenge  Of  The Sith LEGO Sets and was released in 2005.  This LEGO Set includes three Star Wars LEGO Minifigures, a Medical Droid, Darth Vader, and Anakin Skywalker.  Darth Vader Transformation 7251 does not appear in a search at LEGO.com and may no longer be available for purchase through LEGO.  Instructions for the Darth Vader Transformation are available here.

Darth Vader's Transformation is a pretty small Star Wars LEGO Set and is also a fairly rare LEGO set.  It's got a wheel that Darth Vader and Anakin Skywalker spin on to simulate Anakin's transformation to Darth Vader.  I enjoy the set but I don't place a lot of emphasis on collecting it because it is rare and costly.  Vader's Transformation can be probably be put together cheaper using the instructions and spare pieces.  The tools on the Medical Droid are the same tools used in the LEGO racer themed sets.
