Darth Maul was apprenticed to Darth Sidious to learn about the dark side of the Force when he was very young. He was involved in the Invasion of Naboo, and was sent to follow Queen Amidala after she escaped. Darth Maul later fought Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn both on Tatooine and on Naboo. On Naboo, he managed to kill Qui-Gon Jinn, but underestimated his Padawan apprentice, Obi-Wan Kenobi. After Obi-Wan Kenobi killed Darth Maul, Darth Sidious found a new apprentice, Count Dooku, to replace him.

The LEGO Darth Maul minifigure has been released in three sets and one value pack. The LEGO Star Wars sets that included the Darth Maul LEGO minifigure are 7101 Lightsaber Duel, 7151 Sith Infiltrator, and 7663 Sith Infiltrator. The Zellers Value Pack contained the 7101 Lightsaber Duel set, which includes a LEGO Darth Maul figure. The Darth Maul figure was also included with the purchase of the 2851193 LEGO Star Wars Darth Maul watch. The watch was red, black, and white with a picture of Darth Maul on its face.

The 7101 LEGO Lightsaber Duel set features a moisture vaporator and Darth Maul's speeder bike, which is composed of just seven LEGO pieces. There are two minifigures in the set: Darth Maul and Qui-Gon Jinn. The Star Wars Darth Maul minifigure included in the Lightsaber Duel set is the original version, which also appears in the 7151 LEGO Sith Infiltrator set. In the 7101 Lightsaber Duel LEGO set, Darth Maul has a single-bladed red lightsaber.

In the 7151 Sith Infiltrator LEGO set, Darth Maul carries a double-bladed red lightsaber instead of the single-bladed version. The Sith Infiltrator set contains the pieces needed to make Darth Maul's ship, which is mostly gray, with some blue and black pieces. Besides the LEGO Darth Maul minifigure, there are also three Sith probe droid minifigs included in the set.

The 7663 LEGO Sith Infiltrator set contains the updated 2007 version of the LEGO Star Wars Darth Maul minifigure. The two Darth Maul LEGO minifigs are very similar, but the printing on the torso is different on the updated figure, as is the printing on the face. The tattoos are slightly modified, and the newer version has black pupils in its eyes. The redesigned ship included in the 7663 Sith Infiltrator LEGO set has a much more streamlined look than the version included in the 7151 set. Like the original Sith Infiltrator set, this set also includes four Star Wars LEGO minifigures: the updated LEGO Darth Maul minifigure with a double-bladed red lightsaber and thre Sith probe droids.

The Sith Infiltrator 7663 Star Wars LEGO Set is part of the Episode I: The Phantom Menace LEGO Sets and was released in 2007.  This LEGO Set includes one Star Wars LEGO Minifigure, the sinister Darth Maul.  The Sith Infiltrator does not appear in a search at LEGO.com and may no longer be available for purchase from LEGO.

The best part about this Star Wars LEGO Set is that it includes Darth Maul.  The ship itself is an easy build but the two droids that come with this set are not very inspiring.  I could not even bring myself to count them as actual minifigures for this LEGO set!
