Wedge Antilles
There are a lot of Rebel Alliance pilot mini figures in the Star Wars franchise under the LEGO product line and one of them is the Wedge Antilles mini figure. The Wedge Antilles LEGO Star Wars mini figure has a similar design to other mini figures of Rebel Alliance pilots as it features the usual orange overall Rebel Alliance pilot suit. This gives the mini figure bright orange legs, torso and arms. Its waist and hands are a dark medium stone grey in color. The face of this mini figure is flesh toned with two small black dots depicting the pair of eyes and an upward curving black line representing the mouth. The Wedge Antilles mini figure comes with a white helmet as its accessory. The helmet has a full frontal opening revealing the face of the mini figure. It also has black markings at the center front and two big grey markings on each side of the helmet.
The 6212 X-Wing Fighter Star Wars set was released in 2006 and it is the very first set to ever feature the Wedge Antilles mini figure. With a total of 437 LEGO pieces, the 6212 X-Wing Fighter Star Wars set also features a Chewbacca mini figure, a Han Solo mini figure, a Princess Leia Organa mini figure, an R2-D2 mini figure, and a Luke Skywalker Rebel Pilot variant mini figure. This set is recommended for children between the ages of 8 and 12 years old.
A year after the Wedge Antilles mini figure made its first appearance with the release of the 6212 X-Wing Fighter Star Wars set, it was again included in the line up of mini figures of the 66221 X-Wing Fighter and Luke Pilot Maquette Co-Pack, which also features the same cast of mini figures as the 6212 X-Wing Fighter Star Wars set. This set also has 437 LEGO pieces. With only two appearances in different Star Wars sets, the Wedge Antilles mini figure is a rare one which every collector should add to their prized collection of LEGO Star Wars mini figures.
