Astromech Droids
Astromech droids play a role on LEGO Star Wars sets just like they play a roll in the original Star Wars movies. Ask any Star Wars geek and they will say the most popular Astromech droid in the Star Wars series is R2-D2 but R2 is far from the only droid of his kind that plays a role in the films. As far as the LEGO Star Wars sets goes, all of the Astromech units share the same LEGO pieces, just colored differently. The following are the different Astromech LEGO units released thus far:
