LEGO Batman

The series of LEGO Batman sets is as rare is it gets when it comes to collecting LEGO sets. They were only produced for a few years and as of now are no longer being sold through LEGO.com. This makes sealed, new in the box LEGO Batman sets really expensive compared to other sets.

Another reason why these sets are hard to come by is that there were not very many LEGO sets released with the Batman theme.  Here is a list of each LEGO Batman set:

The Batman Dragster: Catwoman Pursuit 7779
The Batboat: Hunt for Killer Croc 7780
The Batmobile: Two-Face's Escape 7781
The Batwing: The Joker's Aerial Assault 7782
The Batcave: The Penguin and Mr. Freeze's Invasion 7783
The Batmobile: Ultimate Collector's Edition 7784
Arkham Asylum 7785
The Batcopter: The Chase for Scarecrow 7786
The Robin-Tank: The Riddler and Bane's Hideout 7787
Batman's Buggy: The Escape of Mr. Freeze 7884
Robin's Scuba Jet: Attack of The Penguin 7885
The Batcycle: Harley Quinn's Hammer Truck 7886
The Tumbler: Joker's Ice-Cream Surprise 7888

A few of these sets are even harder to come by complete than others. The Arkham Asylum 7785 LEGO set is extremely expensive being found on some sites for as much as $500. This makes the LEGO Batman figures that come with that set very expensive to.

The Batman comic is timeless along with the characters out of Gotham City.  Many fans of Batman that might not collect LEGO sets normally are drawn to collecting the LEGO Batman minifigures that come with LEGO Batman sets.  Here is a list of LEGO Batman figures:

Batman
The Joker
Joker Henchman
Harley Quinn
Robin
Mr. Freeze
The Riddler
Bane
Scarecrow
Nightwing
Poison Ivy
Arkham Guards
Bruce Wayne
Alfred
The Penguin
Two-Face
Two-Face Henchman
Killer Croc
Catwoman

A favorite for fans to collect is the very rare LEGO Catwoman minifigure.  This figure is only included in one LEGO Batman set, that being Batman Dragster: Catwoman Pursuit.  You can find the LEGO Catwoman figure going for as much as $50 for a simple 2" minifigure.
