The LEGO Ultimate Space Battle 7283 set contains three ships: Obi-Wan Kenobi's red Jedi starfighter, Anakin Skywalker's yellow Jedi starfigher, and a blue Droid Tri-Fighter. There are four minifigures included in this set, plus two droid heads. The minifigures are Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, and two buzz droids. The LEGO Ultimate Space Battle set also includes an R2-D2 head and an R4-P17 head. With the ships and minifigures included in the LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Space Battle set, you can recreate the battle from the opening scene of Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith.
The battle that the Ultimate Space Battle LEGO set is based on involves an attempt to rescue Supreme Chancellor Palpatine, which is led by Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi and Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker. During the battle, the buzz droids damage Obi-Wan's interceptor ship and destroy his R4-P17 astromech droid. Anakin attempts to help fight off the droids, but succeeds only in further damaging Obi-Wan Kenobi's ship.
After the pair crash land on General Grievous's ship, the Invisible Hand, they fight a droid army to make their way through the ship. After reaching the General's quarters, Anakin and Obi-Wan must fight Count Dooku in a lightsaber duel. During the battle, Obi-Wan is knocked unconscious when he is hurled against a railing and Anakin continues fighting Dooku on his own. Eventually, Anakin severs both of Dooku's hands, and at Palpatine's urging, kills Sith Lord Dooku with his own lightsaber. This act draws Anakin closer to the Dark Side. Palpatine tries to persuade Anakin to leave Obi-Wan, but Anakin carries him on his back as he and the Chancellor make their way back through the ship.
The LEGO Ultimate Space Battle 7283 set contains the Episode III version of the Obi-Wan Kenobi minifigure and the Jedi Knight version of the Anakin Skywalker minifigure. Both of these characters are depicted in numerous minifigure versions that are included in many different Star Wars LEGO sets. The buzz droid minifigures, however, only appear in a few sets. The sets that include one or more buzz droids are 7252 Droid Tri-Fighter, 7283 Ultimate Space Battle, 7751 Ahsoka's Starfighter and Droids, and 65771 Episode III Collectors' Set.
The R4-P17 droid head has appeared in two different sets, but in different variations. The R4-P17 head that was included in the 7143 Jedi Starfighter set was the head piece from the R4-D5 astromech droid. This version of the R4-P17 head was white with red, silver, and black printing. In the LEGO Ultimate Space Battle 7283 set, the R4-P17 head is solid red with silver and black markings.
