What do you do if you need a LEGO minifigure for a character that is not available in any LEGO sets? You have two options. You can make your own custom LEGO mini figures or you can buy them from someone else who makes custom LEGO minifigures to order. You can also buy custom parts that you can use to modify your LEGO minifigures to make them look exactly the way you want.

Buy Customized LEGO Minifigures

If you want to buy custom LEGO mini figures that have already been made, there are several places you can find them online. One website that sells custom minifigures is MiniBiGS, which currently has three custom Star Wars LEGO minifigures available. They are Oola (Jabba's Dancer), Darth Talon, and General Kenobi.

Firestar Toys has 23 different custom Star Wars minifigures. They also offer customized LEGO minifigures for other popular characters, such as Toy Story, Batman, Spiderman, Prince of Persia, Harry Potter, Indiana Jones, and SpongeBob Squarepants. In addition, they sell minifigure accessories such as guns, knives, headgear, legs, torsos, heads, hair, guitars, lightsabers, capes, skateboards, and bikes.

Little-Legends.com offers a wide selection of custom LEGO minifigs in many different categories. They have more than 30 LEGO Star Wars minifigures, including several custom designs. They also have LEGO minifigures in the following categories: rock and pop, film and TV, gaming legends, mini military, brides and grooms, guitars and microphones, weapons, capes and cloaks, and more.

BrickArms sells custom LEGO figures and weapons. Most of the minifigures are soldiers. There is a wide selection of guns and other weapons, most of which are $1 each or less.

Parts to Make Custom LEGO Minifigs

Many of the websites above that sell custom LEGO mini figures also sell parts and accessories to help you design your own. In addition, the Arealight Custom Work Shop, sells custom helmets, jetpacks, torsos, hairpieces, binoculars, and other items to use with your custom LEGO figures. You can also buy accessories from BrickForge. They have hairpieces, weapons, armor, headgear, beards, musical instruments, sports equipment, police gear and more for your LEGO minifigures.

If you want to buy customized LEGO minifigures that have already been made, you should expect to pay around $20 each for them. Some sell for more than that and some less, but that's a pretty accurate ballpark figure. It depends on the company or artist you are buying from.

To make your own custom LEGO mini figures, you'll probably need to buy some parts. You can mix and match legs, torsos, heads, and hairpieces to get a LEGO minifigure that is close to what you are trying to design, then modify it by adding accessories and painting it if you need to add markings. You can even make clothing for your custom LEGO minifigure from fabric and use sculpting putty to create parts and accessories that you are unable to purchase.
